Cali beyond the typical
This is a specialized branch of the #V42 project, which seeks to showcase the natural, cultural, and social richness of Cali beyond its urban area. With 15 districts encompassing more than 70% of the territory, Cali is much more than its city center: it is mountains, biodiversity, and communities brimming with history and life.
Through initiatives such as Cali también es loma, Museos que no conoces en Cali and Hoy el parche en Cali es …, we work to document and promote this diversity with depth and respect, delivering high-quality content that connects with local communities and potential allies.
This branch strengthens V42's purpose of telling the story of Valle del Cauca from all angles, and opens opportunities to collaborate with brands, institutions and people committed to the sustainable and cultural development of the region.
Cali is Cali and it's also Loma!
The famous song “Que Cali es Cali, señores, señoras, lo demás es loma” (Cali is Cali, ladies and gentlemen, the rest is hills) is part of our popular culture. At V42, we value that identity, but we also want to rescue and showcase what it truly means to “be from the hills” in Cali, understanding the importance of this expression and joining the movement driven by locals, nature tourism networks, and entrepreneurs working to make the city's rural areas more visible.
Cali is not just a city: its 15 districts occupy more than 70% of the territory and are home to remarkable biodiversity. Here you'll find more than 500 species of birds, a national park with mountains exceeding 4,000 meters, páramo ecosystems, and more than 30 rivers that supply water to the region.
